What is Church Day Camp? Church day camp is for local churches with 10 or more campers (K - 8th grade) who wish to attend camp as a group all on the same week. Churches provide transportation to and from camp, and Chestnut Ridge provides staff, worship, recreation and lunch each day from 9 am to 5 pm. Campers must have completed Kindergarten to attend.
Church Day Campers participate in age level programming and activities.
- Campers finishing kindergarten and first grade will be Mudpuppies
- Campers finishing 2nd through 4th grades will be Waterdogs
- Campers finishing 5th - 8th grade will be Duskies
At the time of registration, Waterdogs and Duskies will choose which major they would like to be in. Use the links above to help decide which camp is right for you. Chestnut Ridge provides our excellent staff, daily worship, lunch, snacks, and a variety of camp activities including arts and crafts, hikes, games, canoeing, and swimming.

Have each person in your group of 10 or more complete the online registration and submit payment in full no later than May 1, 2012. The cost is $198 per camper; this is a substantial discount over registering individually. Campers must complete the Online Health Form before the first week of camp. This can be completed through the online registration process.
We invite each church to contribute what they can toward this cost. One church has shared that their church uses camp scholarship monies to defray the cost of this program to the campers, reducing the cost to each camper's family to $110. We applaud the efforts of churches like this who believe in the value of camp ministries as an extension of local church ministries. To enroll your church, please contact the camp for available weeks.
Would your church also like to hold a retreat at Chestnut Ridge? Churches are encouraged to plan, supervise, and host their own day or overnight group programs at Chestnut Ridge. These church groups are invited to enjoy Chestnut Ridge lodging, dining, and program to complement their own supervision and church-provided program. Space is available on a first-come basis.
